Are we serious? Besides the fact that there were no deaths today ( there have been deaths in each of the past 2 marathons), there wasn’t even an exciting photo finish. Some Russian beat some Kenyan, which is akin to Rocky beating Ivan Drago, but let’s face it - who gives a shit?
I’ll tell you what people really give a shit about : getting to work on time. Can’t they find any better places to run these things other than streets in major cities? I mean when they were coming together to plan the first marathon, who was the asshole who said, “let’s just shut down the city and do it in the middle of the most trafficky streets, what? No one will mind I’m sure”.
