She’s done it again.  Mariah’s freshest effort is even better than her last.  With a good selection of both R&B jams and ballads, “the voice” has proven once again why she is the best of the best.  Rather than watch some crack whore crash her Mercedes into a Ralph’s, why don’t you go pick up a copy of this sure to be platinum record?  Here are some of the highlights:

1. Bye Bye.  Easily the best song on the disc.  If this doesn’t hit number one within 4 weeks of its release I’ll review anything anyone tells me for a week.  Just comment on this post if that happens. It won’t.

2. O.O.C.  I thought I would hate this song since it stands for “Out of Control”, but it’s actually one of the highlights of the whole album.  It’s catchy, well sung, and doesn’t cross the line into ridiculousness like it easily could’ve.  There’s something almost sexual about it.

3. Cruise Control.  A duet with Bob Marley’s son.  People oringinally described this as being a weak attempt at Reggae, but it’s not even close to that.  It has about 15 seconds of Mariah Reggae in it, which is actually refreshing and catchy.  At the end Damien does reggae for a bit, but he is basically rapping. The song works and has a really great hook.

4. I’ll Be Loving You Long Time.  Great. Might be better than Cruise Control actually.  Great opening.  Great vocals.  Great chorus.  Good beat even.  This is just a pleasant song.  Will be overlooked but definitely check this one out.  It’s short at just 3 minutes but fun and really well balanced.

5. Migrate.  Hilarious song.  This is her “dance” song it you could even call it that. A little too computerized for me, but definitely a good, sexy song with a great appearance from T-Pain and some some surprising good range near the end for a club track. It will probably be Remixed.

Honorable Mention:  Touch My Body, I’m That Chick, For the Record.
